AC Schnitzer Injects More Performance And Style Into The Latest BMW X5

Following last year's mid-life refresh for the BMW X5, German tuning house AC Schnitzer has unveiled its upgrade package for this popular luxury SUV. This comprehensive offering caters to drivers seeking to enhance both the aesthetics and performance of their X5.

AC Schnitzer's aerodynamic package seamlessly integrates with the existing M Package, taking the X5's sporty character to a whole new level. The focal point is a prominent front splitter that gives the SUV a more aggressive visage. Deeper side skirts further accentuate the X5's athletic profile, while a large rear spoiler completes the aerodynamic makeover.

The undisputed showstopper, however, is the all-new set of 22-inch AC5 alloy wheels, making their debut on the X5 after gracing AC Schnitzer's BMW XM. These wheels are available in a variety of finishes, allowing owners to personalize their X5's appearance.

To amplify the imposing stance, AC Schnitzer offers wheel spacers that broaden the front and rear tracks by 24 millimeters. This modification provides a more planted look and potentially sharper handling.

For those who prioritize aesthetics and handling without compromising comfort, AC Schnitzer provides lowering springs. It's important to note that this option is only available for X5 models that don't come equipped with factory air suspension. Depending on the specific trim, the lowering springs can reduce the ride height by 15 to 30 millimeters, enhancing both visual appeal and handling prowess.

AC Schnitzer's philosophy of tasteful modifications extends to the interior. The tuner's focus here lies on sporty accents, with aluminum gearshift paddles replacing the stock ones behind the steering wheel. Aluminum pedal covers round out the interior upgrades, providing a touch of motorsport-inspired flair.

Beyond aesthetics, AC Schnitzer unlocks the hidden potential of the BMW X5's powertrain. The tuner offers a performance upgrade for the xDrive40d diesel variant, bumping up its output to a significant 377 horsepower and a hefty 780 Nm of torque. This translates to an impressive increase of 30 horsepower and 60 Nm of torque compared to the standard X5 xDrive40d.

It's worth noting that AC Schnitzer previously offered a power upgrade for the pre-facelift X5 45e xDrive PHEV. This track record suggests that future electrified X5 variants might also benefit from the tuner's expertise.

For those who appreciate a touch of visual intrigue under the hood, AC Schnitzer provides a modified engine cover for the six-cylinder units. This cover features the tuner's logo and red accents, adding a subtle yet impactful aesthetic touch.

The beauty of AC Schnitzer's upgrade package lies in its modularity. BMW X5 owners can choose to acquire individual components that best suit their preferences and budget. This allows for a truly personalized approach to enhancing their luxury SUV. For a closer look and to explore the various options, enthusiasts can visit the AC Schnitzer website.
